Coach Cal

Everyone is waiting on pins and needles. The suspense is killer. I even dreamed about it last night. Will he go or will he stay? Memphis needs Coach Calipari to stay. I don't think he needs Memphis but Memphis sure needs him. If he leaves, he will take a lot with him. Maybe he will take some highly touted recruits and other instrumental players. But he will also take the heart of this city. What else does this city have to look forward to? What else does this city have to rally around? The Grizzlies are here but they are clearly a work in progress. Nothing else brings this city together quite like Coach Cal and the Tigers. He is one of our own now. If he leaves, it will be like he is kicking us while we are down. The Tigers failed to go all the way this year but next year looked even more promising. Now, it just seems like everything is in limbo. Please don't go, Coach Cal. But if you go, just know that you are leaving a huge void in Memphis' heart.
